I was raised in the church. I slowly lost my faith in my twenties. I was an atheist in my thirties and early forties. I came back to faith after reading many books and studying the evidence for the existence of God. Once I became a true Christian, I had so many questions that I went to seminary. I have been a Christian for 11 years and I have not just learned knowledge about God and the Bible, but I have experienced God. The way we communicate with God is from our heart, not our mind. Sadly, I think there are many Christians who are stuck in a rut, going to church, trying to adhere to the rules but they do not have a relationship with God. They do not connect with the power of the Holy Spirit. They spend years being religious instead of being free in Christ.
